YOUTH PROGRAMS OVERVIEW

Ridgeline Outdoor Collective offers youth bike programs in the Rochester and Randolph area. This program has been established organically within the club over the years and recently has gained momentum with the growing demand for youth and family bike offerings.

RIDGE RIDERS

Vermont Youth Cycling, established in 2019 as a race series for young riders, with a mission to provide access to safe, fun, interscholastic group rides and races. Vermont Youth Cycling (VTYC) educates and empowers young riders to improve their skills and well-being while building a sense of stewardship for the land, the trails and a deeper connection to the communities they live in.

For the 2021 season, coaches Sean and Brooke Curran took the team to a new level and succeeded in placing many riders on the podium. The season included 12 youth racers participating in four race series around the state, including one race hosted in Randolph at the Ellis Lot Trail Network. Students raced throughout four categories (Grade 5&6, Categories A, B & C). Forty team rides were held throughout the season around Randolph and Rochester, including field trips to other trail networks. Our coaches and team look forward with great anticipation to next year’s race season.

Summer Camps

Ridgeline Summer Bike Camp is offered in Rochester in partnership with OnePlanet; and in Randolph, with the Randolph Recreation Department. These one week bike camps focus on skill building, safety, good knowledge of our extensive local trail networks, and above all, fun in the woods, and on all terrain!

After School Programs

After School Bike Programs have been hosted through the various school systems in our network over the years. These programs include partnerships with OnePlanet, Rochester Afterschool Friday Rides, and the Family Ride Series. If your school is within our geographic region, and have an interest in one of our programs, we can help put kids on bikes with trained coaches.
