Meet Our Leadership Team

Executive Director
Kim Stinson
From Vermont to Alaska, outdoor recreation has always played a pivotal role in Kim’s life. Growing up in New Hampshire and actively involved in equestrian sports, skiing and hiking, Kim went on to obtain her BS in Environmental Science from Johnson State College with a focus on natural resources. Soon after graduating, she made the move to Alaska where she spent a decade skiing as much as possible! When Kim moved back to Vermont in 2013, she traded time on skis for time on her bike, which launched her into the local MTB industry. Outside of “work” time, Kim can be found supporting her daughter’s passion for competitive horseback riding, and managing her “way too big” garden at home.

President
Ryan Scott
Ryan’s introduction to ROC is similar to most: a stellar day in the backcountry. Recognizing the incredible backcountry and trail network and the benefits they bring to our community, Ryan got more involved with ROC through trail maintenance work days, attending events, volunteering, sitting in on board meetings, and eventually joining the board. He lives outside Middlebury with his family and makes every effort to explore the Green Mountains and beyond by foot, pedal, and ski. He and his wife, Alex, can’t wait to share the experience with their young daughter. When wearing his work hat, Ryan helps clients navigate environmental permitting with a focus on the Northeast’s natural resources.

Vice President
Rose O’Brien
Born and raised in Pittsfield, Rose has loved the ROC trails since she was on training wheels. From trail maintenance days with her family to local bike races, she’s considered the Green Mountain trail network her backyard for years. Rose raced mountain bikes for fun with her family and later for the University of Vermont Cycling Team, traveling across the Northeast and to Southern California for Collegiate Nationals. She also grew up backcountry skiing near her parents’ home and quickly discovered ROC’s backcountry networks. Her passion for splitboarding has taken her across New England, though her favorite routes are still in the woods she grew up in. When not outdoors, Rose works as a Transportation Engineer, designing bike paths, sidewalks, and helping communities connect through active transportation.

Treasurer
Larry Straus
Larry grew up in NJ but has skiied in Vermont for 67 years beginning in 1958. He is an avid hiker and skier, and has completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, and the Long Trail twice, once in each direction. After college in Colorado, Larry taught both cross country and alpine skiing in Vermont before returning to NJ for a 25 year career as a home builder. Larry and his wife retired to Rochester, VT in 2003. He served 9 years as Selectboard chair in Rochester, including the time during Tropical Storm Irene. He is a founding Director and Treasurer of Ridgeline Outdoor, where he continues to pursue his love of the mountains.

Secretary
Hannah Wilson
Hannah’s earliest backcountry skiing experiences were as an infant in a snugli. Now she powers herself up Braintree Mountain Forest and other local glades whenever she can. Hannah enjoys exploring all over the state with friends and family, preferring to travel by mountain and/or gravel bike. When not adventuring, she can happily be found at her home in Randolph or teaching English to speakers of other languages in Montpelier.

Board Officer & Membership Coordinator
Bill Matthews
As a skier curious about the Brandon Gap backcountry, Bill attended his first volunteer work day in the fall of 2021 and was immediately hooked. He has been a regular volunteer ever since, helping out on Brandon Gap and the Rochester Valley multi-use trails. A board member since December 2021, he contributes to fundraising, administrative tasks, and events. Bill loves seeing people of all ages and abilities enjoying everything the Ridgeline Outdoor Collective has to offer. Aftering retiring in 2021 following a career in sales and marketing, Bill has found volunteering for an outdoor recreation nonprofit deeply rewarding. He and his wife, Debbie, have lived in beautiful Rochester, VT since 1987.

Board Officer & SAR Coordinator
David Aldrighetti
David is a native Vermonter who spent his younger years in Colorado but soon felt the draw to return home. He has owned and operated a building business in Bethel for over 40 years. David was a member of the Bethel Fire Department for 32 years, serving as chief for 15 of those years. He was asked to assist with setting up Ridgeline’s SAR (Search & Rescue) program for both biking and backcountry skiing, which led to the privilege of joining the board. An avid biker and newly passionate backcountry skier, David has come to truly appreciate the hard work that the ROC family puts in, which allows everyone to enjoy the outdoors year-round in this magical place we call home.

Board Officer
Tiffany Boyd
Tiffany’s love of biking started early — one of her first bikes was a pink ten-speed that she rode endlessly through summer days and after school. That spark grew into a lifelong passion for cycling in all forms. She discovered cross-country mountain biking in 2007 near Kingdom Trails in Burke, Vermont, later exploring downhill at Highland Mountain Bike Park and the trails at Burke Mountain Bike Park. Professionally, Tiffany is a corrective exercise and neuro-mechanics specialist, helping clients improve movement efficiency, strength, and recovery. Her expertise and enthusiasm make her a strong advocate for safe, inclusive, and sustainable active communities, while her creative side shines as a professional live sound engineer.

Board Officer
Nate Burke
Nate grew up in Vermont and spent a decade in Montana before eventually returning home. Nate learned to ski at the Middlebury Snowbowl and got an early start hiking skis up the old Norwich Ski Area, sparking a lifelong love for earning turns. These days, Nate can most often be found skiing in the Brandon Gap backcountry. He has recently taken up mountain biking and loves exploring the trails built and maintained by the Ridgeline Outdoor Collective. Nate works as an elementary school teacher and is happiest outside – on skis or a bike -moving through the mountains.

Rochester Camps & After School Program Coordinator
Kinley Tener
Kinley moved to Vermont in 2003 after spending 20 years raising a family in Montgomery County, MD, near Washington, DC. Growing up as an Army brat gave him an international perspective, with memorable duty stations in Germany, Rhode Island, and West Point, NY, where he learned to ski. Riding and fixing bikes and skiing became lifelong passions. Part-time ski instructing in Pennsylvania led to a full-time career as a ski and bike professional in Rochester and Killington. A founding member of RASTA, Kinley has ridden, skied, and worked on most Ridgeline OC trails. His greatest pleasure is mentoring youth through after-school bike clubs and summer camps. He holds BICP II and PSIA II certifications.

Randolph Camps Coordinator
Morgan Easton
Morgan is the heart and soul of recreation in Randolph, Vermont. She comes from a legacy family deeply rooted in community sports, helping run the local ice rink in winter and keeping track of balls, bats, kids, and coaches through spring, summer, and fall. As the Randolph Camps Coordinator for Ridgeline Outdoor Collective, Morgan brings her deep local knowledge and passion for youth recreation to every program she supports. Morgan has been instrumental in reinvigorating mountain bike culture in Randolph and surrounding towns, helping connect people to trails and outdoor opportunities close to home.

Ridge Riders Coach
Sean Curran
Sean grew up in Massachusetts riding trails, building dirt jumps, racing downhill, and making videos. After racing and riding through college, he shifted to the endurance side of the sport, spending about a decade competing in cyclocross and cross-country before moving to Vermont. Over the years, cycling offered him glimpses of life in Vermont, and in 2019 he and his partner, Brooke, made the move full-time. They chose to live in Braintree largely because of Ridgeline’s work and strong community. Having experienced firsthand the positive influence mountain biking had on his own upbringing, Sean is passionate about sharing a lifetime of skills and knowledge, and about helping make the sport fun, welcoming, and accessible for young riders.

Former Executive Director, Founding Member
Angus McCusker
Angus is a founding member and former Executive Director of Ridgeline Outdoor Collective, where he helped shape the organization’s vision for sustainable trails, community access, and outdoor recreation in central Vermont. He now serves as Velomont’s Trail Director, leading the development of the Velomont Trail and hut network and working to connect communities across the state through long-distance, human-powered recreation. Angus lives to backcountry and Nordic ski and also loves long-distance mountain bike rides that include epic climbs and long descents. When he’s not on skis or a bike, Angus enjoys building backyard rope tows and spending time outdoors with his wife and two kids in Rochester, Vermont.
